Since 2002 Promostudi La Spezia coordinates and manages the University Campus of La Spezia where three-year and master’s degree courses of the University of Genoa are held.

Founded on the initiative of the main Local Institutions, it counts, among its Founding Members, the Municipality of La Spezia, Carispezia Foundation, Riviere di Liguria Chamber of Commerce, Confindustria La Spezia, Port System Authority Eastern Ligurian Sea and University of Genoa. Currently, Sanlorenzo s.p.a., The Italian Sea Group and Confindustria Nautica are also members of the Foundation.

The Campus of Spezia represents a very qualified university reality with respect to the economic-productive inclinations of the area, with a special focus on pleasure craft field, which has distinguished itself over time for a significant growth path, becoming a reference center and attraction for a high number of students (about 1200 enrolled) from all over the national territory and also from abroad.
